Featuring Artists:

Kingsley (Portland)
Growing up in the shadows of Chicago, Kingsley was raised to the rhythms of house music. The third eldest daughter of eight, she demonstrated a strong desire to perform and sing from an early age. She sang before she could talk, belting out Disney tunes and performing for family and friends. She joined the choir when she was 8 and taught herself to play guitar and piano. At age 10 she started a band. Inspired by pop music she began writing and producing her own songs.

Letty Isabel (Portland)
A Los Angeles native, Letty Isabel is an aspiring singer-songwriter who’s making her voice and foot tambourine heard through the magical trees and city streets of Portlandia. She brings her upbeat and heartfelt originals, quirky personality and soulful renditions to the stage as she hopes to create an inspiring and welcoming space for the audience. Her inspirations range from Fleetwood Mac to Johnny Cash to Carole King, as well as all the local music she can get her ears on. Check out more info and upcoming shows at www.instagram.com/lettyisabeltunes

A Strange Bird (Seattle)
A Strange Bird (Angelica Burdette) is a soulful folk-poet and dark pop singer-songwriter. Her sound is a harmonious blend of simplistic finger-style guitar, dulcet smoky tones and deeply emotive lyrics. Born in Seattle but built to roam, she claims home is wherever her feet meet the path. After years of exploration and misadventure she finds herself back in the Pacific Northwest where she released her first full length solo acoustic album recorded in collaboration with Shady Pines Media in Portland, OR. Available now on all digital platforms.

Shaina Shepherd (Seattle)
Shaina Shepherd is a singer/songwriter and vocal coach based in Seattle, WA. Known for her pervasive style as front woman to soul- grunge band BEARAXE, her notable vocal stylings have brought her into various creative spaces — from sharing stages with rock stars like Dave Matthews and Thunderpussy to being a soloist with the classical ensembles around the country.

Music & Mental Health

In this webinar discussion, Portland and Seattle locals, Courtney Fortune, Elena Siegman, Faustine Hudson, & Layrssa Birdseye, discuss the role music plays in theirs, ours, and everyone’s mental health as an artist and as a womxn.

Join in the honest discussion about the current state of affairs and the kind of toll it may take on our health. We will hold space to ask challenging questions and discover new ways to express ourselves. How do we cultivate a sense of empowerment and community when it feels like the community is falling apart?

Whether you have been struggling or thriving recently, we hope you'll join us!

These amazing and experienced panelists will draw on their vast experiences and resources in the PNW that have helped and empowered them to express themselves creatively and their journey as an artist and human.
